Arthur’s Journey.

After ten years of classical musical studies, Arthur Bouilliol enters the ballet and jazz dance classes of his home town conservatory. To pursue his budding desire to be a professional dancer and artist, he then joins the ballet and contemporary courses of internationnal professors at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Cergy-Pontoise where he has the opportunity to work with movement artists such as Myriam Gourfink, Patricia Karagozian, Christian Rizzo, Bruce Taylor, Jean-Claude Galotta and to dance many pieces from the internationnal repertoire.

After obtaining the final choreographic degree of he starts working first in musical productions whilst starting a formation at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris which allows him to discover the Labanian philosophy of the body in motion. He passes the Diploma in Analysis and Writing of Movement in 2020 as he enters OKIdance company (Artistic Director Matteo Reggiori) and Avril en Juillet (Artistic Director Bernard Estrabaut). While starting a master degree in Litterature and Critical Creation at the university he creates a contemporary dance association called Armel, allowing him to connect his love for musical composition and moving creation ; in order to bring transversal pieces to life and stage.

Already familiar with Ohad Naharin's and Hofesh Shechter's work, he explores the choregraphic materials related to the gaga technique and so meets Sofia Nappi to immediatly resonnate with the K/C philospohy of movement. Leaving the association he co-created three years later, he passes the National Diploma of Contemporary Dance Teacher in Paris to teach different techniques of contemporary dancing in several performing arts schools of the capital and he is asked by Adrien Ouaki to join OpenDor Company for the next creations.
