Stage d'hiver at Centre Chorégraphique James Carlès in Toulouse. The Komoco workshop will be held by India Guanzini - Komoco dancer and member of KCTL - during a 5-days program shared with artists and teachers representing different European dance companies.
The course is built on the theme of the technical development of professional dancers, choreographers, dance teachers, animators, and amateur dancers or anyone looking for structuring and transformative body work.

Description: this KC workshop will be held by Komoco dancer and KTCL teacher Leonardo De Santis. It is open to dancers and movers from different backgrounds. KC Workshop aims to offer a sense of totality in a physical and sensorial way through the exploration and therefore the discovery of new possibilities with our bodies. In KOMOCO research, this practice takes the name of Kreaturistic Character (KC) as we connect to the creature that we are - that we just forgot about - which consequently brings more awareness to our unique artistic individuality to be expressed in endless ways, from the highest volume of form to the most delicate, through a series of games and guided improvisation tasks.The laboratory ends with the sharing and learning of sections from KC choreographic repertoire.

Komoco Unveiled is a visceral exploration of transformation and growth, inspired by the tale of Pinocchio but refracted through the lens of Komoco’s dynamic movement language. In this fragment of a larger work, the piece delves into the primal, physical process of change. The dancers' bodies, charged with tension and release, become living vessels for the emotional and psychological metamorphosis that mirrors just an extract of the journey of the carved wooden puppet awakening to a world of complexity, temptation, and self-realization. …

Last residency for the new Komoco production “The Fridas”. The inspiration comes from Frida Kahlo's painting The Two Fridas, and it explores the complex theme of human identity through a relationship of complicity and contrast between two dancers. However, the relationship between the two characters on stage goes beyond simple dualism. Through gestures that reveal intimacy and vulnerability, challenging conventions of masculinity, the dancers move through emotional states and become an expressive vehicle for the thousands of facets contained within each individual.

KC Workshop @ B12, Berlin
This workshop is open to professional dancers and movers from different backgrounds. The first part of the laboratory aims to stimulate the participants towards achieving a greater awareness of the body in a physical and sensorial way, starting with simple tools coming from somatic techniques, floorwork and sensorial stimuli. Consequentially, this practice allows us to explore the full potentiality of our bodies and helps us to gain greater focus on the real source of the movement, whilst exploring improvisational tasks. …

KC workshop @ Bluebox Vienna
Bluebox is an annual contemporary dance programme located in Vienna, featuring a number of internationally renowned guest artists. It provides a selected number of dancers with the opportunity to receive innovative and specialized, high-quality process within contemporary dance. It provides dancers with the maximum amount of knowledge and development. Bluebox strives to facilitate the highest level of creative process and training: selected dancers will attend a series of carefully curated masterclasses. In a company-like setting, each process lasts one week.

Creation period for Sofia Nappi’s new work for Leipzig Ballet, a double-bill named “Humans”, with creations by Sofia Nappi and Louis Stens.
Sofia Nappi’s movement language plays with the boundaries that can be drawn between ballet, contemporary dance and performance. To music by Clara Schumann and Henry Purcell, she explores the interweaving of baroque and modern, and ideas of femininity in different eras.

PUPO - artistic residency
Komoco is kicking off the 2024/25 season with a residency at Villa Nappi thanks to the support of Marche Teatro. The company, led by the artistic director and choreographer Sofia Nappi, takes the opportunity to deepen its movement signature and the research of "PUPO" production currently on tour.
