Faculty: Sofia Nappi

Description: Creation period for Sofia Nappi’s new work for Leipzig Ballet, a double-bill named “Humans”, with creations by Sofia Nappi and Louis Stens.

Sofia Nappi’s movement language plays with the boundaries that can be drawn between ballet, contemporary dance and performance. To music by Clara Schumann and Henry Purcell, she explores the interweaving of baroque and modern, and ideas of femininity in different eras.
