Senne’s Journey.
Senne, born in Assendelft, started dancing at the age of nine at his local dance school. After two years of dancing, he joined a professional pre-education at the University of the Arts in Amsterdam where he followed daily dance training in a very broad foundation of styles. Next to dancing, he continued his normal high school at the village he grew up in.
His true love for contemporary dance especially started to grow in the last two years of his pre-education. He created a richly filled 'backpack' where foundations in (non) western, contemporary and hip hop styles got mixed into an own approach and vision towards dance. After six years, he was ready for a new challenge and continued his dance journey at the University of the Arts. Following the Bachelor program 'Dance in Education'.
Next to becoming a dance teacher, Senne always kept his fire for dancing on stage alive. During his years of education he worked as a performing artist with choreographer Denden Karadeniz, and became part of his company, Zero Dance Theatre, as a freelance dancer at the age of 19. After three years of school he joined dance company Ivgi&Greben as a performing intern, dancing multiple productions and tours throughout the Netherlands. Now at the age of 21, Senne is ready for a new and exciting adventure joining KOMOCO in season 24/25.
