Komoco is glad to announce "Komoco Summer Intensive 2025" –– the dance company’s official 5 days workshop. For this 6th edition we are glad to continue the collaboration with Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino: the workshop will be held in the beautiful dance studio inside Florence Opera House.
Throughout the week, selected dancers will have the opportunity to study with Komoco’s choreographer and artistic director Sofia Nappi and the company dancers.
Classes will focus on learning and understanding the Komoco language through research, while repertoire classes will be an opportunity to immerse yourself in the creations of the company with the original dancers and Sofia Nappi herself, for a taste of her creative vision. There will be a sharing of the work done during the 5 days in the studio on the last day of Intensive.
The workshop is aimed at professional dancers, 18+. We welcome people of all gender identities and expressions, cultural backgrounds and countries of origin.
It is an opportunity for the company and the choreographer to meet new artists, with the possibility of establishing future collaborations.
…And for the first time, the company will organize a KC party on the 4th day of Intensive. All participants are welcome to come and groove!
PARTICIPATION IS BY INVITATION ONLY FOR A SELECTED AMOUNT OF DANCERS.

send your Curriculum max 1 page, short improvisation video max 2 minutes (only a video link from YouTube/VIMEO, video sent in other ways will not be considered), to komoco.intensive@gmail.com with subject "KC Summer Intensive 2025 + your name and last name".
APPLICATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED ON THE FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED BASIS. Only successful applicants will be contacted shortly after submitting the required material (CV+video). Invited artists will be notified by email and will have to confirm their participation in return. Artists will have to take care of their own travel, meals and accommodation in Florence.
When the maximum number of participants (80) has been reached, an update will be shared on Komoco social media pages and the call will be closed.

In case of impossibility to participate in the intensive, the paid sum will not be refunded
